If you're only reading the articles in the newsletters, then you're missing a major portion of the news and information that's available. Most or all of the articles in the newsletters are incomplete on paper, but are completed electronically on the website. Also, if you're reading the entirety of the articles by going to the website, but haven't created an account or don't login regularly, then you're missing even more content that is only available to members of the Troop website. For various reasons, the website has content that is kept hidden from the general public. In order to access those areas, you need to create an account and then use it. Creating an account is a painless process, and I ensure that no one outside of the Troop gets an account by approving all account requests. Besides the additional content, there are other things available from the website for those who have accounts. For example, you can have the website send you e-mail reminders about upcoming events, like the Court of Honor on August 23rd. I plan on adding more features as time permits, like a library checkout system, an equipment checkout system and on-line fill-in forms for various forms like permission slips and tour permits. Also, in the very near future, I plan on creating special areas for the various patrols to be able to communicate, share news and information, have a patrol calendar, etc. So, create a website account today!
