This year's Family Camp will be held at Cathedral Gorge. Thanks to Zach and Mr. Painter for planning this event, we have the opportunity of a fabulous time of camping and fellowshipping with Scouts and family alike. Some of the planned activities include cave exploring, geocaching and a moonlight hike. So bring your parents, your baby sister, your grand parents, your aunt & uncle or whomever.

Some highlights of the campground include:
  • Temperatures from the 40s to the 80s.
  • Regular showers (bring quarters) and toilets.
  • Fires are permitted, but only in the provided fire rings and grills, and we need to bring our own firewood.
  • Pets are allowed, but they must be on a leash that is 6' or less. (This was vetoed by the committee.)
  • Quiet time is from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am.

One final note. We will need to practice principle number 4 of the Leave No Trace Principles as, according to park regulations, "All plants, animals, rocks, minerals and historic artifacts within the park boundaries are protected by state law. Please do not remove, destroy or disturb these features."
