During the time of Scout Expo at Lorenzi park, there will be a United Blood Services blood drive. To sign up, either go on-line to www.bloodhero.com (sponsor code: boyscouts) or call 228-8400 ext. 241.

Each Scout who brings in a donor will receive a "Scouts Saves Lives" patch.

All donors will receive a voucher for a free pint of Caravel ice cream.

Free cholesterol testing when you donate blood.

The final Scout Expo ticket sales turn-in. Commissions are 10% of the monies turned in (20% with booth participation).

Here we go again! We have an AppleBee's fundraiser on Thursday, May 10th. This one is a little different. It is an all day event, not just the supper hour. If you forget the flier you can tell your server about Troop 256 fundraiser. (They do prefer the flier.) The location is the one near Target across from the Galleria Mall (699 N Stephanie Henderson, NV 89014). Print and hand out or e-mail as many fliers as you like. This fundraiser will go towards Camp Geronimo fees.

Furthering adult education on some of the finer points to Scouting.

"Having talked with Karl Brunner (Council Advancement Chair) & Jon Thiriot (Council Eagle board rep) we have decided that there needs to be a council wide training on Eagle packets and the reviewing process as there has been several issues relating to the process. So with that in mind Jon has agreed to put on a Eagle packet reviewing training on Sat. May 12 of 2007 at the council service center from 9:00 AM to 12:00.

Memorial Day

This is the monthly Committee and Greenbar meeting. There is no regular Scout meeting held at this time. All adults are encouraged to come to the committee meeting to see and participate in the business aspects of running a Boy Scout Troop.
