Coming up this next Thursday, September 2nd, our troop will be having a Court of Honor. This is the time when all the boys who have earned rank advancements, merit badges, and other awards will receive them. With all the activity we've had the last few months, including Geronimo and National Jamboree, there will be quite a few awards given out.

In addition to the Court of Honor, there will be displays, slide shows, and demonstrations about what our boys have been doing lately. They will include pictures about Geronimo, National Jamboree, and World Jamboree (which is happening next summer).

This is an excellent opportunity to check out Troop 256 and/or Boy Scouts in general. You will get to see the boys earning their awards, and you will also get to see glimpses of how the boys earned their awards.

So, bring your entire family, all the neighbors down your street and all your co-workers to cheer the boys on and to see what Troop 256 is all about. I'll see you all there.
